Late photos of the week…

I got back from our vacation yesterday. We stayed at a friends cabin in Donnely for a week ~ I traded them for photography, it was fantastic! WE LOVED IT! i have tons of photos to share and lots of stories as well, but for today i will catch up on my latest. I shot this one the night we got there, and was in love with it! i meant to post on trips into mccall but we couldn’t quite get everything done!

The recipe for this is: I shot this on the nikon d300 with my wide angle 14-24 2.8 lens. I had my iso all the way down to 100 so that the saturation was REAL. I shot it at 1/40 of a second and f16. I wanted the mountains to REALLY be focused as well as the fence right up by me. Of course i had to tri-pod this one because the shudder speed was so slow.

Isn’t it great! i LOVED that mist that set in! I loved how it showed the dusk setting in too.

Here is the next one:

This one was tricky. I snowshooed out into the field to try and time lapse the moon coming up. I was all alone and a half a mile away from the cabin. There were no snowmobile’rs out so it was really alone feeling. I LOVED IT. I shot this to set it up for the moon but the clouds came in RIGHT after the 20th frame or so! dangit! but here is the shot! Nikond300 as well and i actually just used my kit lens (in case i fell hiking, first time on snow shoes! lol) 18-135 lens. and i shot it tripoded as well. It wasn’t dark at all yet so i shot it at 1/200 of a second and f9. I didn’t want the mountains crisp like the last one so only f9…and the clouds blurred it up a bit as well. iso 100

#3, i shot out the car window! lol and turned out i LOOOOVED it. I love the motion in the fence.

Nikond300 and kit lens too. f22 .6 of a second. iso 100. I keep the iso at 100 always unless i have to change it. (pictures showing this coming this week as well. ’ all today.
