SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday at the open house cooper was apprehensive and shy…today dropping him off for his first day of school he is courageous and excited! We woke up eager and jazzed to go to school and ate breakfast chatting. I cannot believe that its almost 6 years since he came to me! What a proud mother i am. He is so well rounded! when we got to the class kids were crying all over… (mostly the boys) and cooper turned to me, made two i love you signs with his hands and turned to join them! he was so eager to be a part of his own great thing!
At first i was set on a private school that was really free thinking type…but ended up not being able to afford it…then we applied at a new charter school that really seemed similar to the private one we had found…my heart sank when they emailed me saying he was 15th on the list. well, i signed him up for public school against my better judgement and went with it. I never felt right about it though. I dont think that the public schools are doing a good job with our kids! i think they teach them how to pass tests and not build them up for LIFE. Anyhow i got a call SAT NIGHT saying he had made it in!!!!!!! so we went to the open house and here we are!
wowsa…kindergarten! this school has NO school on fridays! woot woot!!!! here are a few pics i shot this morning getting ready! he wore his wings that i made him on his Percy Jackson shoes for confidence which his teacher LOVED and gave me a “finn face” as we call it. (it came from his friend finn)
thats it! i am a free momma today! feels so peaceful!!! but lonely too…12 will come fast!
Wow! Cooper has grown up so fast! LOVE the shoes! You are such a fun Mom!
WOW!!! What a cute kid! It was so fun to spend a few minutes this past Thursday Evening! Love him so much!!!!
one last thought Why am I crying reading this about him . Once a momma sending her babies to school always a Momma!
